Daily Journal July 11, 1998, By-William Thomas Thompson. The Holy Spirit is available to all that seek to receive it. Yes I know it is abused. Many claim the Holy Ghost that may not have it and many misunderstand but that does not excuse it in our personal responsibility to seek and to find it. Some make fun of it and mock it. I do not know what the sin against the Holy Ghost is. I have no reason to doubt the Holy Spirit because I received it at 15 years old and it has been the light and joy of my life. I have not been a perfect child of God but even then the Spirit of God is there. I find the Holy Spirit gentle and kind, forgiving and ever present to show us the way. The Baptist say you get it all when you get saved but that is not true. We see the light via a calling of God. God knows our hearts and our limitation. Those willing to walk closer to God and willing to be shaped by God for this wonderful experience most often receive it with all its heavenly benefits. I had to get my life in real order forgetting all other and loving and serving God with all my heart, I had to prove myself to God a worthy servant to receive this blessing. And so for years we may be back on the shelf or out making money but then when God calls and brings us under again, we are ready. There is a sacrifice to receive the Holy Spirit My art generates vast interest in the secular art world because I believe the Christian protestant church world is dead and immune to a full knowledge of the truth. The church has pride and will never admit to a lesser faith but claim it all while they barely have any. I pray for the church to see the light but expect no result from my art or anything I say, they are programmed against the fullness of the Word of God, they relegate God down to their level of faith and understanding. Never the less, the light shines on the believer. The sky is the limit and man is no judge. The joy of the Lord floods my soul and I am at peace with him. The average people respond favorable to my art because it is the simple gospel without the burden of doctrine. The inspiration by which it is painted seems to be the same by which it is received. We walk and talk different with the Anointed life! My energy dropped last evening and I came home early from painting on the bus. I believe it is because I ate watermelon for lunch along with my meal of fish and 2 vegetables. I continue to search for all the right food to heal me and increase my strength for a tireless day. Breakfast is wonderful with mostly protein by 8 a.m. but it is easy to blow it at lunch by eating too heavy or by eating anything sweet or by even a salad dressing especially a premixed slaw dressing always full of sugar. The principle of health is surely the same for everyone but we should get smarter and not just eat what taste good but what makes us feel good. I believe a nap after lunch is necessary for good health and the best mind and attitude in work or any relationship. I believe in 8 to 10 hour’s sound sleep at night. Last night we had a small pizza and too much cheese, I am suffering until 3 a.m. to fall asleep. Receiving the Holy Spirit means a life of service. Always pray to start your day and things will go better. Prayer changes things. Whenever I take things into my own hands, it does not ever work. When I am patient and ask God to work it out. It always seems to work. Let God work in our lives for good & right.
